🔹 Before you start:
✅ Device compatibility: Your device must be eSIM compatible and carrier unlocked
✅Changing devices: If the eSIM is installed on another device, you will need the help of the Customer Care Team to allow a new installation
✅ Make sure you have an active data plan
✅ VPN: Disable your VPN to allow the installation
✅ Hang up: The data connection will be stopped if your are on an active call
✅ Install once, travel everywhere. No need to reinstall when you visit a new country
✅Do it before you fly: Airports are a connectivity black hole, install your eSIM before takeoff (private WIFI or primary line cellular data plan) to avoid any hiccups.
🔍 eSIM not installing? Your device may have regional restrictions
If your device is eSIM-compatible, carrier-unlocked, and you’ve tried switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data but still can’t install your eSIM, it may have regional restrictions. Some devices from China Mainland, Hong Kong, or Macau block eSIM activation outside those regions.

1️⃣ Find your model number in your device settings or packaging.
2️⃣ Check the manufacturer’s website and look for the model number.
3️⃣ Verify regional compatibility: if the device is from China Mainland, Hong Kong, or Macau they will not authorised an eSIM installation
📌 Using a 5BER eSIM Adapter?
If you’re using a 5BER eSIM adapter, the automatic installation in the Kolet app won’t work. Instead, you’ll need to manually install your eSIM using a QR code.

Step 1: Open Kolet 📲
OPEN Kolet app on your device and GO to Home section
CLICK on Install my eSIM now in the home menu if you already have a data plan

Step 2: Choose Installation Method 🛠️
You will be presented with 3 options:
Automatic installation (recommended) : Read the instructions and click on the "Install eSIM now". Then you can follow this guide.
Activation Code: Alternatively, if the automatic installation is not accessible or if you don't have another device available, you can select the activation code option. An activation code allows you to manually input the necessary information to install the eSIM. This method is useful as a backup in case the QR code method is not feasible. You can follow this guide.
QR Code: If you choose this option, a QR code will be sent to another device. You can then scan this QR code directly with your device to install the eSIM. This method offers a quick and convenient way to set up your eSIM.
Step 3: Follow Installation Guide 📖
Depending on your chosen method, follow the on-screen instructions provided by the app.

OPEN Kolet APP then eSIM
Congratulations! 🎉 You've successfully installed your eSIM, you are ready to start using your data plan and to browse internet.
Your updated plan details, including the data remaining, will now be displayed on the home page of the app.
