🔧 How to install my eSIM with activation code?

If you've successfully shared the QR code with another device, but encounter issues scanning it with your own device, you'll need to install the eSIM manually. 👨‍🔧.

💡 Important

  • To install your eSIM, you must have an active data plan with us. If you don't have a data plan, you can buy one from the Destinations Tab and follow this guide.

  • We recommend completing this step before your flight as Internet is required to set up your eSIM. ✈️ We suggest installing your eSIM before you leave and then activating your eSIM data plan when you arrive at your destination.

  • You can send the QR code to another device (by message or email) so you can scan it with the device where you want to install the eSIM.

👨‍🏫 How to install my eSIM?

Simply return to the Home section in the menu bar, select Other installations methods and choose Manual Installation.

🍎For Apple iOS devices

Step 1: add eSIM ➕

  • OPEN Settings on your device

  • TAP on Cellular

  • TAP on Add eSIM

⚠️In the case you can't see Add eSIM, it means your device is not eSIM compatible.

Step 2: Set up ⚙️

  • SELECT use QR Code

  • TAP on Enter Details Manually

Step 3: Enter activation code 🔢

  • COPY and PASTE the required Value & Code (The details are available in the Manual Installation section in your Kolet app, you can copy and paste them)

  • TAP on Next

Step 4: Activate📲

  • TAP on Continue

eSIM activation may take up to ⏱️ 3 minutes.

Step 5: Almost there... 🔜

  • TAP on Done

  • TAP on eSIM Label

Step 6: Label eSIM (Optional) 🏷️

It's important to name your eSIM to ‘Kolet’, so that you can easily
distinguish between your Primary SIM and eSIM

  • TYPE ‘Kolet’ on Custom label, TAP on Done

  • TAP on Continue

Step 7: Set Primary 🥇


Setting up your default line is pivotal in ensuring a smooth transition to your new eSIM. This step specifically focuses on preserving your original number as the default line for key communication functions such as calls, SMS, iMessage, and FaceTime.

  • SELECT Primary, TAP on Continue

  • SELECT Primary, TAP on Continue

Step 8: Set Cellular Data 📶

  • SELECT Kolet

  • ENSURE Allow Cellular Data Switching is OFF

  • TAP on Done

🤖For Samsung Android devices

Step 1: open SIM settings ⚙️

  • OPEN Settings on your device

  • TAP on Connections

  • TAP on SIM manager

Step 2: Add eSIM ➕

  • TAP on Add eSIM

  • TAP on Other ways to connect..

Step 3: Add eSIM ➕

  • TAP on Scan QR code

  • TAP on Enter activation code

Step 4: Enter activation code ▶️

  • COPY and PASTE the required activation code (The details are available in the Manual Installation section in your Kolet app, you can copy and paste them)

  • TAP on Done

  • TAP on Add

Step 5: Rename eSIM 🏷️

It's very important to name your eSIM to ‘Kolet’, so that you can easily distinguish between your Primary SIM and eSIM

  • TAP on eSIM 1

  • TAP on Name

Step 6: Rename eSIM 🏷️

  • TAP on eSIM 1

  • TYPE ‘Kolet’, TAP on Done

Step 7: Final Checks✔️

  • TAP on Kolet

  • ENSURE that Primary SIM is on SIM 1

👾For Google Pixel Android devices

Step 1: open SIM settings 🔓

  • OPEN Settings on your device

  • TAP on Network and Internet

  • TAP on SIM

Step 2: add eSIM ➕

  • OPEN Settings on your device

  • TAP on Download a new eSIM

Step 3: add eSIM ➕

  • WAIT until Scan QR code page opens

  • TAP on, need help?

Step 4: Enter activation code 🔢

  • TAP on Enter it manually

  • COPY and PASTE the required activation code (The details are available in the Manual Installation section in your Kolet app, you can copy and paste them)

  • TAP on Continue

Step 5: Download eSIM 📥

  • TAP on Download

  • TAP on Settings

Step 6: Rename eSIM 🏷️

While not mandatory, labeling your eSIM can significantly aid in distinguishing between multiple eSIMs. This step is particularly useful if you're managing more than one eSIM on your device.

  • TAP on eSIM

  • TAP on Edit

Step 7: Rename eSIM 🏷️

  • TAP on eSIM to rename

  • TYPE on "Kolet" TAP on Save
