🔍 Distinguishing eSIM and Primary SIM
Updated over a week ago

💡 Navigating the differences between your eSIM and primary SIM card can be tricky, especially if you've forgotten to label your new eSIM Kolet. Below, you'll find a detailed guide on how to differentiate between eSIM and primary SIM cards.

🍎For Apple iOS Devices

⚙️In you eSIM settings: You can check as follows:

  • GO to "Settings"

  • TAP "Cellular" or "Mobile Data"

  • SELECT the "Kolet eSIM"

  • If you see "Plus" or "Orange" or "TIM" on the top of your screen, that means it's your Kolet eSIM

🚫 No Phone Number: Your Kolet eSIM do not have a phone number associated with them, unlike traditional SIM cards, which are linked to a specific phone number. You can check this information by going into your SIM section.

🏷️ Default Label: Typically, your primary eSIM is identified by the label "Used as Primary", indicating that it is the main eSIM in use. Meanwhile, any secondary eSIMs you have will be assigned a different label, such as "Business" "Mobile Data" "Travel" or another identifier to distinguish them from the primary eSIM.

🤖For Samsung Android Devices

You can distinguish it from your primary eSIM by the fact that there is no number associated with it. It should also have "Plus" or "Orange" or "TIM" written underneath it, as in the screenshot below.

👾 For Google Pixel Devices

Click on any eSIM, scroll down to “Operator Settings Version”. Kolet eSIM is the one with a "Plus" or "Orange" or "TIM".
