💸 How to Use Your Kolet Koins

Use your Kolet Koins to purchase data plans and save on your next trip

Updated this week

What are Kolet Koins?

Kolet Koins are credits you can use to purchase data plans. You earn Koins by converting unused data (1GB or more) or through promotional offers.

Value: 100 Koins = $1 USD / 1 EUR

Expiration: Koins expire after 2 years from the date they were credited to your account.

How to Use Your Koins

  1. Open the app and go to the Destinations tab

  2. Select your destination and choose the amount of data you’d like

  3. Tap Continue

  4. At the top of the screen, make sure the “Use my credits” toggle is ON (it's ON by default!)
⚠️ If you don’t want to use your credits, remember to turn this off manually.

And that’s it! 🎉 Your Koins will be deducted from the total price, and you can pay any remaining balance with your preferred payment method.

Important to Know

Minimum Payment Requirement

⚠️ For legal reasons, credit card payments cannot be less than $0.50.

What this means: If using your Koins would leave a remaining balance of less than $0.50 to pay by card, the purchase cannot be completed.

Example:

  • Data plan costs: $5

  • You have 450 Koins ($4.50)

  • Remaining balance: $0.50 ✅ This works, you can complete the purchase

  • If you had 460 Koins ($4.60), remaining balance would be $0.40 ❌ This doesn't work, payment would fail

Solution if you encounter this:

  • Purchase a slightly larger data plan (so the remaining amount is above $0.50)

  • Top up your wallet with more Koins.

  • Save your Koins and use them for a future purchase

Refund Policy for Koins Purchases

If you need a refund for a data plan that was partially or fully paid with Kolet Koins:

⚠️ The Koins portion will be refunded as Koins only, not as a credit card refund.

Example:

  • You paid $10 for a plan: $3 in Koins + $7 by card

  • If refunded, you'll receive: 300 Koins back + $7 to your card

Checking Your Balance

You can view your Kolet Koins balance at any time:

  1. Go to the Profile tab in your app

  2. Tap on Credits

  3. You'll see your total Koins balance and transaction history
