🔎 Does data usage begin immediately upon eSIM installation?

No, you should first install your eSIM before your flight (you will require internet to do the installation). The data usage will start when you land at the destination, and you decide to activate your data plan (you don't need internet to do the activation). The data plan will begin when you consume your first MB.

🎁 How does the gift offer work!?

The gift offer provides 1GB of data on your eSIM without any minimum purchase requirement. This offer is valid for 48 hours from the first usage of data at your destination. Once the gift offer expires, you don't need to uninstall the eSIM. You can simply top up with additional data to continue using it.

🚀 When does my data plan start?

You should install your eSIM first and then decide when you want to activate your eSIM. You can start your data plan upon arrival at your destination, you have the control on when you would like to start it, to do so you have to activate the data plan by following these steps and then consume the first MB of data.

📅 When should I install my eSIM?

Internet is required to set up your eSIM… We suggest installing your eSIM before you leave and then activating your eSIM data plan when you arrive at your destination.

⚠️ Please ensure that you install your eSIM before you arrive at the airport, as connectivity is often unstable.

⏱️ If I purchase a data plan, does it start immediately?

You should install your eSIM first and then decide when you want to activate your eSIM. If you're not yet at your destination, the data plan does not start immediately. However, if you're already at your destination and consuming data, the plan starts, but only after the expiration of the initial plan.

📶 What's the difference between a data plan and an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM card that does not require physical removal or replacement when switching carriers. Unlike a physical SIM card, the eSIM does not have a preloaded data plan, instead you can recharge it with a data plan associated with a specific country when you need it. These data plans range from 1GB, 3GB, 5GB, 10GB and 20GB and are valid for 30 days from first use. You don't need to remove your eSIM when changing countries, simply top it up with the appropriate data plan. Unlike traditional plans that expire after 30 days of usage unless additional top-up is made, the eSIM does not expire.

📞Can I make phone calls with the eSIM?

The eSIM doesn't support traditional phone calls, but you can make calls using messaging apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, etc.

📩 Will I be charged for SMS?

Receiving SMS is free, but replying may result in charges. Please note that all SMS messages sent by Kolet will be received on your Kolet eSIM and are completely free of charge.

🤳 Will I be charged roaming fees if I use FaceTime with Kolet eSIM?

No, as FaceTime will be using Kolet data. You just need to make sure that you have a valid Kolet data plan.

If you receive the message "Your operator may charge for text messages to activate FaceTime/iMessage", don't worry, you won't be charged.

🌍 Where can I find your prices, and is Kolet available in certain countries?
