What if my bank account uses a different currency?
Don't worry! If your bank account is in a different currency (GBP, JPY, AUD, etc.), your bank will automatically convert the amount to USD or EUR at the current exchange rate.
Example:
Data plan costs: $10 USD
Your bank account is in GBP (British Pounds)
Your bank automatically converts and charges you approximately £7.80 (depending on the exchange rate)
You don't need to do anything, the conversion happens automatically through your bank.
Geographic Restrictions
⚠️ Important: Some payment methods are only available in specific regions due to local banking regulations.
This means where you are physically located when making the purchase affects which payment methods you can use.
How Location Affects Payment Methods
Example scenario: You're traveling in Mauritius and want to purchase a data plan. When you go to checkout, you notice that iDEAL is not available as a payment option. This is because iDEAL is restricted to users located in Europe.
Solution: Purchase your data plan before you travel while you're still in your home region to access all available payment methods.

Q: Will I be charged extra fees for currency conversion? A: Kolet does not charge currency conversion fees. However, your bank may apply its own conversion rates and fees. Check with your bank for their international transaction policies.
Q: Can I use multiple payment methods for one purchase? A: Currently, you can only use one payment method per transaction. However, you can combine:
Kolet Koins + one payment method (card, wallet, etc.)
Airline Miles + credit card
Q: Why isn't Apple Pay working on my computer? A: Make sure Apple Pay is properly set up in your device settings. If issues persist, try completing your purchase through the Kolet mobile app instead.
Q: Is it safe to save my payment information? A: Yes. When you choose to save your payment method, the information is securely stored by our payment provider (not Kolet) and encrypted for your protection.
Q: What if my payment fails? A: Common reasons for payment failure:
Insufficient funds
Card expired
Geographic restrictions on your payment method
Bank declined the transaction
Try using a different payment method or contact your bank if the issue continues.
Q: Can I get a refund to a different payment method than I used? A: Refunds are processed back to the original payment method used for the purchase. If you paid with Kolet Koins, those will be refunded as Koins.
