Why Am I Seeing This Error & How to Fix It? 🚀

Seeing this error while trying to install your Kolet eSIM? It usually means:

🔹 The eSIM was already installed before and can’t be added again.

🔹 The eSIM is installed on another device and can't be added on the new one

🔹 The QR code was partially scanned due to a poor internet connection.

🔹 There’s an issue with your device’s settings preventing installation.


📌 Step 1: Check if Your eSIM is Already Installed

Before retrying, confirm whether the eSIM is already on your device.

🍏 On iPhone (iOS):

1️⃣ Go to Settings > General > About.

2️⃣ Scroll down to check for the ICCID number (20-digit number).

3️⃣ If you see an ICCID with an extra digit and your eSIM line is set to “On” under Cellular Plans, the eSIM is already installed!

📌 If your eSIM was removed from your device, it cannot be reinstalled. Contact Kolet Support for a new eSIM.


📌 Step 2: Troubleshoot First-Time Installation Issues

If you’re installing the eSIM for the first time and see this error, follow these steps:

✔️ Disable Any VPN: VPNs can interfere with eSIM activation.

✔️ Ensure You Have a Strong Internet Connection: Avoid public or airport WiFi, which can be unstable.

✔️ Check for Too Many eSIMs Installed : Some devices have a limit on stored eSIMs (iPhone: Stores 5–10 eSIMs (but only 2 can be active) / Android: Varies by model).

✔️ Update Your Device Software – Ensure your phone is running the latest software version for compatibility.

✔️ Try a Different Installation Method: If QR code scanning isn’t working, install manually using the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code (found in your Kolet confirmation email).
